FAQs on Membership...
What does the Delaware Family Child Care
Alliance have to do with me, a family childcare provider?
The Delaware Family Childcare Alliance (DFCCA) is a statewide membership
organization that advocates on behalf of Delaware’s family child care
professionals. The DFCCA strives to bridge the gap between the needs and
interests of family child care providers and the policies and legislation that
affect them. In order to represent YOU- the family child care professional- at
the policy table, WE NEED YOUR HELP. The DFCCA is dedicated to ensuring the
voice of family child care is heard by policy makers and regulatory agencies,
but in order to do so, WE NEED TO HEAR YOUR
IDEAS, CONCERNS AND HOPES.
How can my voice be heard by legislators and
other decision-makers?
Through its Let
Your Voice be Heard Initiatives, the DFCCA provides an ongoing opportunity for
you to express your opinions and work with other family child care providers as
well as other stakeholders in childcare to identify and discuss current
challenges. Some are unique to family child care, while many others are common
across different areas of the child care field. Examples of Let Your Voice be
Heard Initiatives include:
DFCCA Conferences,
Advocacy Day, and
Town Hall Meetings.
How can I get involved?
Whether you’ve decided you want to help the DFCCA in working toward its goals,
or you still have questions about the
DFCCA or the role you can play in the fight for family child care, we want to
hear from you! Please explore the DFCCA website, join the DFCCA and take
advantage of its exclusive
member listserve,
or contact DFCCA staff.
