At what point is child care licensing
required?
Whenever any personal has in control one or more children under the age of 18
years, unattended by a parent or guardian, for the purpose of providing such
child or children with care, education, protection, supervision or guidance, is
compensated for their services, and advertise or holds himself or herself out as
conducting child care.
Under what circumstances is a new licensing
application required?
A new licensing application is required for a:
- small family child care home- thirty (30) days prior to license
expiration (FCC Requirement #47)
- large family child care home- at least sixty (60) days prior to
license expiration (FCC Requirement #48)
