4. Where can I find a printed copy of early success?
1. What is early success?
2. How will early success work?
3.) What does this mean for my business?
First, it means you should understand the Quality Initiatives that are currently in place and the processes by which the Department of Education, OCCL, and the Department of services for Children, Youth and their Families are using to continue to raise the quality of care being offered to Delaware’s children.
Second, Childcare Regulations governs your child care service and when they are up for renewal they will play a big role in the quality process. So you should learn the process of rule revision, attend public meetings, and focus groups concerning regulations; attend DFCCA Town Hall Meetings and most of all stay in compliance.
Third, it means that you need to know what organizations are commissioned to implement early success such as WECEC (The Wilmington Early Care and Education Council) and you should pay attention to memos, articles, or updates concerning them.
Fourth, you should make it a point to be aware of funding that is received into our state such as the Child Care Development Fund, Title one grant, etc. And what organizations are spending the money, and why. You may even want to check other states to see how they utilize the funds they receive for Early Childhood Education.
Finally, you should LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD! Utilize every chance you get to voice your opinion about funding for early care and education. Don't be afraid to question repetitive programming that continues to receive government funding if you believe the moneys could be better spent.
4) Where can I find a printed copy of EARLY SUCCESS?
